Artifact #1 - Kamikaze Pilot’s Scarf

Description: A portion of the scarf worn by the kamikaze pilot who hit the Battleship Missouri on 11 April 1945. Donated by the family of HA1c Ivan Dexter, who served in the USS Missouri’s Medical Department during WWII and would have been tasked with preparing the pilot’s body for burial.
