The introductory guided tour included with General Admission does not require a separate reservation. Advance booking is recommended for upgraded guided tours, which have limited capacity and scheduled departures.

No. The Captain’s Tour, Chief Engineer’s Tour, and Chinese Upgraded Tour are paid add-ons. You must also have General Admission or a Passport to Pearl Harbor ticket.

Yes. Guests who already have General Admission can add Chuck’s Quest at a ticket window upon arrival. Visit the Chuck’s Quest page for activity details and booklet pickup information.

Allow approximately 6–8 hours for the Passport’s included museums and experiences, plus additional time for transportation, meals, and breaks. USS Arizona Memorial program reservations are not included and must be arranged separately through Recreation.gov.

Visitors often get the "bookends" of the war confused. The USS Arizona represents the beginning (the attack) and is a somber tomb. The Battleship Missouri represents the end (the surrender) and is a massive "living" museum you can walk through.

This is the #1 question. Many don't realize that while the National Park is free, the boat ride to the USS Arizona requires a reservation via Recreation.gov. These often sell out weeks in advance, though a small batch is released 24 hours prior.

Visitors often ask if it's still worth going. The answer is usually yes—you can still see the museums, the shore-side memorials, and visit the other "Big Three" sites (the Battleship Missouri, the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum).

General Admission covers the Battleship Missouri Memorial. Choose the Passport to Pearl Harbor for admission to the three participating museums and its additional included experiences.

Neither option includes a USS Arizona Memorial program reservation. Reserve that program separately through Recreation.gov.

Yes, and it’s strictly enforced. No purses, backpacks, camera bags, or even fanny packs are allowed. Clear bags with visible contents are permitted, subject to security inspection. Review our Bag Policy & Safety for permitted items, size limits, and storage information.

Small cameras are permitted. Any bag used to carry them must comply with our Bag Policy & Safety.

Since the Missouri and Aviation Museum are located on Ford Island (an active military base), visitors cannot drive themselves there. A free shuttle runs every 15–20 minutes from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Please plan ahead and allow about 30 minutes each way for the shuttle, including waiting, boarding, and travel time. Shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes.

The General Admission guided tour follows a wheelchair-accessible route, with elevator access to the Surrender Deck. Upper and lower decks and most interior compartments have accessibility limitations.

Upgraded guided tours involve steep ladders, narrow passageways, and confined spaces and are not wheelchair accessible. Review our Accessibility Information when choosing your experience.

Choose Battleship Missouri Memorial General Admission for a visit focused on USS Missouri. Allow about two hours aboard, plus approximately 30 minutes each way for shuttle waiting, boarding, and travel.

To include both USS Arizona and USS Missouri, plan approximately five hours around your separately reserved Arizona program. See Plan Your Visit for help organizing your half-day visit to Pearl Harbor.
