Veterans Day

This annual ceremony serves as a tribute to all of our nation's veterans who have and continue to selflessly defend our nation and freedom. Through this Signature Event, we aim to recognize the courage and sacrifice of all American veterans and honor the legacy of the peace they helped to achieve.

In addition to the 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II, 2015 also marks the 40th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War. Although not historically engaged in this conflict, as an internationally recognized symbol of enduring peace, the Battleship Missouri Memorial honors all veterans for their bravery, duty, and discipline. This year, the Battleship Missouri dedicated our ceremony to the veterans of the Vietnam War whose sacrifice and commitment to freedom align directly with the Battleship Missouri's legacy of peace.

Preserving our History-Superstructure Preservation Project

Currently, work is being done to our superstructure and is expected to be completed by December 2017. For safety reasons, our flying and navigation bridges will be closed during restoration. We appreciate your patience and understanding and your part in helping to preserve America’s last Battleship
