Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience for all guests.

On September 2, during the End of WWII Commemoration Ceremony located at the Forward Pier, wheelchairs and golf carts will be available to assist guests with disabilities, elderly visitors, or anyone requiring mobility support.

  • The elevator provides access beyond the Main Deck to the Surrender Deck for wheelchairs and walkers.
  • On the pier, both Slider’s Grill and The Battleshop are wheelchair- and walker-accessible.

Access to the Ship

  • A wheelchair-accessible ramp is located at the aft entry brow for boarding the battleship.
  • Guests may use the elevator to reach the Surrender Deck to hear the surrender story and view related artifacts.
  • Chairs and benches are available throughout the ship for rest breaks. Please note that ladders and stairs are steep and may be challenging for some visitors.
  • Service animals are welcome aboard, although they may have difficulty navigating the steep ladders.
