Passport to Pearl Harbor Tour Tickets to be Available on Recreation.gov
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (March 22, 2022) – Passport to Pearl Harbor tour tickets can now be purchased through Recreation.gov beginning March 22, 2022.
Passport to Pearl Harbor includes self-guided narrated tours and museum admissions to attend each of the four Pearl Harbor Historic Sites. Visitors will have a chance to learn more about the December 7, 1941, attack and World War II experience through an audio tour and virtual reality experience, as well as admission and self-guided tours of the Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Each experience lasts about one to two hours.
The Passport to Pearl Harbor does not include program reservations for the USS Arizona Memorial.
The Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum are located on a secured military base, Ford Island. For those who don’t have base access, there are free shuttles that depart from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center every 15-20 minutes starting at 8:00 a.m., daily. It is recommended to start the Passport to Pearl Harbor by 10:00 a.m. to experience all sites included in the tour ticket.

Battleship Missouri Memorial
Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 9-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.
The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.

Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is located on Historic Ford Island, where bombs first fell in the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor and is America’s World War II battlefield. It is from this hallowed place that planes first rose up in defense of Pearl Harbor in the attack that launched America into the war that would define a generation. Our collection of 70+ aircraft in two battle-scarred World War II-era hangars tell the stories of that fateful day, the battles that marked the Pacific Theatre, and the rise of American innovation that followed in the decades to come. The bulkhead of the USS Arizona joined our collection in 2020 and the iconic red-and-white-striped Ford Island Control Tower will open in 2022, adding two infamous pieces of American history to our Museum and cementing Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum’s reputation as the “#1 Historical Spot Worth Travelling For” as named by TripAdvisor®. Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum
Immediately adjacent to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum campus features the WWII fleet submarine, USS Bowfin. Launched on December 7, 1942, Bowfin was nicknamed “The Pearl Harbor Avenger” and made nine war patrols during WWII. Since opening to the public in 1981, over 10 million visitors from around the world have explored and experienced what it was like to serve aboard a WWII submarine. The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum is one of the few museums in the world where visitors can learn about and be inspired by the proud history and bright future of the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Force – the Silent Service during WWII, the Cold War, and Today and into the Future. This award-winning museum features a mix of traditional exhibits, multi-media, and interactive displays.

Pacific Historic Parks
A non-profit that is the official cooperating association of the National Park Service, Pacific Historic Parks operates the museum store on the grounds of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. PHP offers the self-guided tour narrated by actress Jamie Lee Curtis. She walks you through 29 stops on the museum grounds and aboard the USS Arizona Memorial. PHP also offers a Virtual Reality Center that allows you to witness the attack on Pearl Harbor as never seen before. The digital experience Air Raid Pearl Harbor is part of the Passport package. It provides the timeline of the attack and places you on the deck of the USS Utah, one of the battleships destroyed December 7, 1941. The VR Center also rents a second compelling VR for $7.99. Skies Over Pearl puts you in the cockpit of a Japanese fighter plane as it departs the carrier Akagi and heads for Oahu military airfields and Pearl Harbor. Visitors who have viewed the narrated VRs recommend seeing them before touring the USS Arizona Memorial and the two World War II museums on the park grounds. There are also earlier generation VRs available for $5.99. You can walk the deck of the USS Arizona on the day it was attacked. You can also go underwater and see the mammoth guns never fired in battle and view the place USS Arizona survivors have their remains interred to join their fellow shipmates in eternity.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial
Pearl Harbor National Memorial (caretaker of the USS Arizona Memorial and facilitator for the USS Arizona Memorial Program), a unit of the National Park Service is a fee free site and not included in the "Passport to Pearl Harbor" program. Reservations and admission fees are not required to enter the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, walk the grounds, or view the museums.
Reservations for the USS Arizona Memorial Program are strongly recommended. The same-day first-come first-served ticket distribution program has been discontinued.
