Direction/Parking & Shuttle Information for Sept 2.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial ticket booth is located across from the entry into the Pearl Harbor National Memorial visitor center. The shuttle bus station is located in the Pearl Harbor National Memorial visitor center (to the right of the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum).

Due to heightened security, all guests boarding the Ford Island Shuttle to the Battleship Missouri Memorial or Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum may be asked to show a valid government-issued photo ID. International visitors, we recommend that you bring your passport.  

By car:

General directions from Waikiki:

Take the H1 freeway and follow the "Pearl Harbor" overhead highway signs to the airport. DO NOT TAKE THE "NAVAL BASE" EXIT. Take the exit labeled "Arizona Memorial/Stadium" (Exit #15A). Follow the brown "Pearl Harbor Historic Sites" roadside signs. The brown signs will lead you directly to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial visitor center and the adjacent Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum.

General directions from West Oahu:

Take the H1 freeway headed East. Take exit labeled, "Aiea/Honolulu", exit #13A, to merge onto H1 78/I-H201 toward Aiea. Take the Stadium/Aiea exit. Keep right, merging onto Moanalua Road. At first traffic light, turn left to merge onto H1 -99 E/Kamehameha Hwy toward Pearl Harbor. Turn right at Arizona Memorial Place to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial visitor center and adjacent Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum.

By city bus:

From Waikiki:

Catch the city bus, Route 42 to Ewa Beach from Kuhio Avenue. Get off at the USS Arizona Memorial bus stop. Call TheBus at (808) 848-4500 or check "TheBus" website to confirm bus routes, rates and schedules.

By cab:

Drop off at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial Visitor Center.

Battleship Missouri Memorial Shuttle Information

Since the Battleship Missouri Memorial is located on Ford Island, an active military base, drive-on access is restricted to those with authorized base access. A complimentary shuttle service is available to transport visitors to the memorial.

Please note: The Pearl Harbor Bag Policy applies to all guests using the shuttle. [Click here for more details.]

Please park at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center parking lot ($7 parking fee), then take the shuttle to the Battleship Missouri Memorial. 
The shuttle service runs, on average, every 15 minutes from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Please note, no photos are allowed on the shuttle.

  • September 2nd, the first shuttle of the day to the Battleship Missouri Memorial from Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is at 7:30 am.
  • The last shuttle from the Battleship Missouri Memorial to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is at 4:05 pm.

For guests with Navy Base Access to Ford Island:

On-site free parking is available for the guests with Navy base access to Ford Island.

Individuals without a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) can gain access to the installation without going to Pass and ID as follows:

Escorted by a Common Access Card holder AND possessing one of the following unexpired forms of identification:

  • U.S. Passport or Passport Card
  • REAL ID compliant Driver’s License or ID Card
  • U.S. Department of State Driver’s License
  • Federal personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card
  • Department of Homeland Security Trusted Traveler Program Card (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)

 

Other identification cards issued by Federal, State, or local government agencies are acceptable, provided they contain a photograph and biographic information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address. 

Notes:

  • The driver must have current DOD credentials.
  • No entry will be granted to anyone without and ID as listed above.
  • Pass and ID will not be open this coming weekend.  They will be open for regular working hours during the week.
  • Access Control Points will conduct a 100% hands-on identification inspection before granting approval to enter the installation.
  • The above does not apply to Foreign Nationals (FN). Foreign National access requests must be submitted via Foreign National Visitors Request (FNVR) application at the Nimitz Pass and Identification Center.
