"All Hands on Deck!"

The mission of the USS Missouri Memorial Association is to “preserve the Battleship Missouri and share her story and place in history.” We are inspired by the vision to see the Battleship Missouri become the finest historic ship destination in the world. This endeavor demands a world-class commitment to the care and restoration of this historic vessel.

After decades of wear, the teak wood deck on the USS Missouri is in dire need of replacement. This substantial restoration project requires hundreds of man-hours and thousands of dollars in custom materials to complete. The photos below depict the rusted condition of the original deck and a section of the new teak wood replacement.
