"All Hands on Deck!" - 2023 Project Update
The USS Missouri Association would like to thank all our donors who generously supported the "All Hands on Deck!" teak deck restoration project in 2022. We are pleased to report the total donations given toward this project in 2022 equals: $178,004. This amount represents 71% of our campaign goal of $250,000.
Due to the enormous scope of this undertaking (three football fields length of teak deck!), this project will continue this year and into the foreseeable future. Once again, our budget for this project in fiscal year 2023 is $250,000. Your support of the teak deck restoration project is needed and appreciated.
Donors who give a minimum gift of $100 to the “All Hands on Deck!”
Capital Campaign will receive a teak souvenir—hand crafted from a salvaged piece of authentic teak from the ship’s deck. For more information on donor premiums for this campaign see details below.

"All Hands on Deck!" - Capital Campaign
The mission of the USS Missouri Memorial Association is to “...preserve the Battleship Missouri and share her story and place in history.” We are inspired by the vision to see the Battleship Missouri become the finest historic ship destination in the world. This endeavor demands a world-class commitment to the care and restoration of this historic vessel.
After decades of wear, the teak deck on the USS Missouri is in dire need of replacement. This immense restoration project requires hundreds of man-hours and thousands of dollars in custom materials to complete. The photos below depict the rusted condition of the original deck and a section of the new teak wood replacement.

The goal of this campaign is to raise $250,000 to help fund the teak wood deck restoration projects scheduled for 2023. Your participation in this effort will preserve the Battleship Missouri Memorial for generations to come as we “…share her story and place in history.”
