Explore over 70 years of history on the Battleship Missouri with engaging educational program and experiences. We offer a number of programs for teachers, students and parents to learn more about the Mighty Mo's role in World War II, the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm. So come aboard the biggest classroom you'll ever encounter and learn about our nation's legacy.
Our ship hours are daily from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with extended hours until 5:00 p.m. in June, July and August. Overnight Encampments run from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. seven days a week depending on availability. The following video shows field trip participants running tests on their student-built robots in the Mighty Mo Robotics mission room. The Mighty Mo Robotics program is designed to expose students in Grades 4-6 to STEM concepts in an interactive and challenging environment. At the Battleship Missouri Memorial, we want to encourage the teachers who inspire our leaders of the future (our students) to visit the ship and prepare their lesson plans. Our new Research Center is open from noon to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment. Equipped with six visitor workstations, it provides access to archival documents, photo collections, video resources and a variety of other information.
