Requirements

I am responsible for compliance of all conditions and rules as outlined in this document and other documents provided by Events staff. Any breach or non-compliance of these rules, without prior approval from the Events Staff, can result in the cancellation of this event and negatively impact the scheduling of events for my command in the future.
I am responsible for each of my guests while on property, during the site visit and rehearsal, also while the military ceremony participants and guests are onboard the Battleship Missouri. All guests will respect and adhere to NOT entering RESTRICTED areas.
I will remain within the time frame of all reservations. I will be on time and ensure my party is on time for all scheduled appointments prior to and including the event. I will ensure I remain within my reserved time frame, as not to interfere with other reservations.
I am responsible for the Working Crew for setup and breakdown of my event. I understand the Events Staff and the Missouri Memorial Association are not responsible for setup and breakdown. If a proper crew is not supplied or setup is not accomplished due to tardiness, this can result in the event proceeding with an “as-is” configuration. Regardless of the configuration before setup, all equipment will be returned and stored in an orderly manner. After breakdown is complete, the Fantail will be inspected and approved by the Events Staff. Any equipment or property damage caused by my event may result in additional charges.
Food and drinks, with the exception of bottled water, are not allowed onboard the ship or the pier without prior approval made with the Events Staff. Any coolers brought on must have a drain plug and ice cannot be dumped anywhere on UMMA property, this includes over the side into the harbor.
Access to Ford Island for the attending civilian guests, is my responsibility in conjunction with current Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam security regulations and procedures.
I am responsible to provide my own Static Guides to assist with the arrival and departure of event guests. Required for any vehicles driving on pier and must ‘flagged’ to parking spot next to ADA ramp, approved vehicles may enter 5 minutes prior to reservation time. (Must be preapproved by Events staff with minimum 1 week’s notice). Event staff has the right to deny on pier vehicles for any reason. Recommended Static Guides to be located at the center pier and the top of the aft brow. They may be placed 5 minutes prior to the start of the event and will remain 5 minutes into the ceremony. After the conclusion of the ceremony, one Static Guide may be posted back at the aft brow until the Fantail event is cleared.
I am responsible for any musical performances during my ceremony. All sound levels will be monitored by UMMA Staff prior to the start of the ceremony to ensure no interruptions to the touring visitors on board. Audio system is not to be tampered with and is required to only be handled by/with UMMA staff permission.
Upon conclusion of my ceremony, all guests are to vacate the venue. However, guests are welcome to purchase a ticket to stay onboard and tour around. All guest (including those in uniform) need to have tickets and they scanned through one of the pier side ticketing locations either pre or post ceremony. The MMA staff reserve the right to deny entry or removal of guests from property.
I will promptly notify the Events Staff within 48 hours’ notice concerning any cancellations or changes involving the event or other appointments. In the event that the required site visit is missed, the ceremony reservations will be cancelled. The MMA reserves the right to cancel any event.
The Battleship Missouri is no longer a commissioned naval vessel. It is a maritime museum/memorial placed in the care of the Missouri Memorial Association and is visited by hundreds of guests from around the world each day. I agree that I and my fellow command members are military ambassadors and will act accordingly at all times while on the ship and MMA property. The MMA staff reserve the right at any time to deny entry or removal of guests from property.
I will notify UMMA Staff within 1 week of ceremony date should any of the information above information change. UMMA staff reserve the right to deny any changes.

Ceremony only:

No charge for these listed official military ceremonies: Change of Command, Change of Responsibility/Post and Relief, Retirement, Promotion, Reenlistment, and Commissioning. Includes use of the chairs, tables, podiums, sound system. Aside from setting up of the wireless microphones, all set up/breakdown of the Fantail layout is client’s responsibility Any equipment or property damage caused by my event may result in additional charges.
