The USS Missouri Memorial Association honors the commitment of the men and women who serve or have served our great nation by offering our military ceremonies program.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial offers space on the ship at no charge for these listed official ceremonies: Change of Command, Change of responsibility/Post and Relief, Promotion, Commissioning, Reenlistment, and Retirement. The military ceremonies can be held Monday through Friday. The ship is closed to the public on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

To make a reservation for a ceremony, please review the ceremonies we offer below. We process ceremony reservation requests on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

You can drive on to base; the Battleship Missouri address: 63 Cowpens Street.

• You want to turn onto Ford Island Bridge, go through the sentry gate, and take the third right on the roundabout. Take the first left, and you will see the Battleship right in front of you. Parking is on the right-hand side.

CAUTION: Certain map apps will take you to Pearl Harbor Historic Sites instead of Ford Island Bridge. You will turn onto Ford Island Blvd.

Carpool with those who have military base access.

Or ride the guest shuttle from Pearl Harbor Historic Sites.

• The shuttles run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. Every 15 minutes, it takes 10 minutes to get to USS Missouri.

• Guests need to let security at the “Shuttle Stop” know that they are attending your ceremony, and they can board.

• Please advise. Parking fees at Pearl Harbor National Memorial will be $7/day.

Unfortunately, we no longer allow receptions onboard for military ceremonies. We highly suggest providing bottled water for your guests since it can get hot onboard. Please contact one of the Event’s personnel for more information. 

Touring is not included.  Should you or your guests wish to tour after your reservation, please exit the ship, purchase a ticket (those in military uniform are complimentary but require a ticket), and reenter the ship from the forward brow. Everyone coming on the ship must be accounted for. Every dollar generated goes directly to the operation, maintenance, and preservation of the Battleship Missouri.

No, food and beverages are not allowed onboard with the exception of bottled water. If you bring food, Events staff will ask you to store it off property until after the ceremony.

This is an open location exposed to the elements. There is no coverage for shade from the sun or rain. Umbrellas are allowed on deck.

The Fantail and Surrender decks are both covered areas. Mostly protected by the tent overhead, the deck can get slippery if it rains. It can get windy at times

No. As long as your command approves of your uniform choice.

Once onboard the ship, it will be up to you and your command to dictate covers on or off.

Flag stands are not allowed on the teak wood deck. If you would like a United States flag for your ceremony, you must provide your own and have two personnel hold the flag for display.

A: If you are hosting a 30-minute ceremony and your groups are unprepared to begin more than 10 minutes after their scheduled start time will be cancelled.

Yes, but it is very rare.

It will depend. We still hold military ceremonies onboard, as our guests don’t need to go through the NPS visitor center. But there is a chance they may end up canceling certain non-critical operations.
